Are you passionate about the art of fashion design? We have developed a fun workshop for you to grow your skills as a fashion designer! Fashion designers draw inspiration both from other periods and from each other. Each week in our series of workshops we will be taking a look at a different famous fashion designer. We will examine their life work and what iconic pieces made their work stand out, as well as learning how to sketch a replica of one of their designs! Our talented instructors will guide you, giving you fun facts about the designers and helping you to sharpen your skills in sketching an design. We will send you a printable “croquis” (a fashion sketch) and all you will need are #2 pencils, colored pencils, and a passion for fashion!
Workshop 2:
Oscar de la Renta Week
This week we will be looking at how Oscar de la Renta developed the definition of elegant attire. As an artist, he came up with beautiful and graceful designs which we will exploring. Class will finish off with learning how to sketch one of de la Renta’s classic silhouettes!
