Design and Create the Peasant Top!

Interested in private group lessons with your friends? This unique group of friends will start with basic sewing lessons and will learn to make a peasant top for their wardrobe.  Ages 8 and up, no sewing experience necessary!

Schedule: Thursdays for 5 weeks, Jan 27th, Feb 3rd, 10th, 17th,  March 3rd.

4:30-6:00 p.m.

No sewing experience necessary.

Cost: $200.00 (includes the instructor as well as fabric, trims & notions as well as use of sewing machines. If a student has their own machine they know how to use, feel free to bring it along!) 

The fee is based on 6 students Min.

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a fashion designer? Your dreams can come true! In all of our classes, we walk you through all of the fashion design steps and show you what it takes to be a fashion designer. 

For this season, we will be recreating the classic style of the trendy Peasant Top!  A silhouette that has been around for years, there is no end to the versatility. Every peasant top is unique and truly what each designer makes of it! This project is great for any young designer who really wants to grow in creating clothes. If we have time, we will also create matching scrunchies and other accessories as the time allows. You will start with sketching and rendering your design. Measuring, pinning and cutting out your design. Already know how to use a sewing machine? Great! Otherwise we will teach you. 

The class fee includes all fabric, trims, notions and use of the sewing machines. If you have your own machine and want to bring it to class and use it that’s great, please do! You can bring your machine starting the second week of class. Sew your garment together then fit the design to work for you, lastly finish the design. At the end of the classes we will hold a virtual fashion show to share with your family. 

So come join us for this fashionable class experience on Wednesdays with Fashion First Workshops! We’re always busy learning, having fun and meeting new friends at a distance.

Social distancing will be followed throughout the 5-week sessions to keep us all safe. Face masks are mandatory. Supplies will be passed out and used solely by the individual designer.
